My husband and I live on our farm in Central
Missouri. During December 2007 we experienced a
terrible ice storm covering everything with over an
inch of ice. As a result our electricity went out...
we had no heat, we couldn't cook - our stove is
electric, the phone didn't work, we had no water for
ourselves or our horses (we have a deep well). The
electric company told us it would be days or even
weeks before power would be restored because of all
the damage done to the lines, but we would be added
to the long list of those without power. Generators
were sold out in all the stores and after suffering
through days and cold nights of inside temperatures
in the 40's, we needed help. I remembered hearing an
advertisement on KJAB, a Christian radio station,
about a company that installs generators that run off
propane tanks - we heat with propane.
I called the radio station to get their name and
phone number. I then called ABC Electric, thinking
we would be added to their list, especially since
they were located in Moberly, some 63 miles away.
Instead, I was connected with the owner, Carl Begley,
who after hearing my concerns, said he and his
assistant could be out in the morning, and he would
pray that our power be restored soon... WOW we were
overjoyed to have found someone with Christian
principles! We were off the phone with Carl at 2:00
PM, at 4:00 PM an ABC Electric truck is in front of
our home - Carl Begley is at our front door with a
gas generator which he would connect to our furnace so
we would not have to suffer another cold night before
he could install the propane generator. Carl drove
63 miles from Moberly to Kingdom City to help someone
in need. WOW!!
The next morning Carl and his assistant, Charlie,
came out and did a beautiful job installing our new
Guardian Generator. They are truly professional in
their workmanship, and take pride in their excellent
work! Needless to say we are so very impressed with
ABC Electric and pleased with their work ethics -
we've been recommending them to all our friends.
